Georgia GOP Chair Offers Allen West a Future Home

U.S. Rep. Allen West may be fighting for his political life on the Treasure Coast, but a Georgia Republican says he can revive his career in the Empire State of the South.

The Atlanta Constitutional Journal reports that Sue Everhart, chairman of the Georgia Republican party, would support West, an Atlanta native, if he needs.

I would be glad to have him come back to Georgia and at some point run here, the Constitutional Journal reported.

I would certainly try to help him because he has done his job. The way he ran his race didnt in any way interfere with the job he did. He ran as a Republican, a conservative Republican.

West, who has yet to concede the Congressional District 18 contest, was a part of a multidistrict change earlier in the year to run for what was deemed a safer district.
