Donald Trump Brings Mike Huckabee's Daughter on Campaign Team
Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the daughter of former Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark., has joined Donald Trump’s presidential campaign as a senior advisor.
Huckabee ran for the Republican nomination this year but pulled out after being a non-factor in Iowa, a state he won in 2008. Sanders had helped her father both times out and helped other GOP hopefuls back in 2012.
“I have great respect for Governor Mike Huckabee and we have a mutual admiration for our wonderful families,” Trump said on Thuesday. “It is great to have his daughter, Sarah, join the campaign.”
“I volunteered to join Mr. Trump’s campaign because he is a champion of working families; not Washington-Wall Street elites,” Sanders said. “Like the other Republican candidates, Mr. Trump is pro-life, pro-marriage, and will appoint conservatives to the courts. What makes Mr. Trump my choice for president is he will break the grip of the donor class on our government and make it accountable to working families again. I’m honored to help Mr. Trump ‘Make America Great Again.’”
