Dan Gelber's Team Pounds Pam Bondi on Karl Rove Connection
Democratic attorney general candidate Sen. Dan Gelbers campaign team continued to attack Republican rival Pam Bondi on Tuesday for connections to national Republicans. Continuing their line of attack concerning Bondi being aided by the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC), the Gelber team took aim at the RSLCs connections to Karl Rove, the strategist who was affiliated with George W. Bush.
Karl Rove and the national special interests are steadfast in their efforts to hijack races across the country, and they are wasting no time in bankrolling Pam Bondis campaign, said Christian Ulvert, Gelbers campaign manager. Pam Bondi claims to be an outsider, but it doesnt get more political than working with Karl Rove.
Raising money to get your message out is important, and it becomes even more important to have resources to defend oneself when your opponent starts misrepresenting the truth about your record and your positions on the issues, replied Sandi Copes, a spokeswoman for Bondi. We wish Mr. Gelber would spend more time discussing how to deal with gangs, Floridas record unemployment, the foreclosure crisis in our state and the federal health care challenge rather than personally and untruthfully attacking Pam. It is exactly what he said he would not do.
