Conservatives Take Aim at New Senate Candidate David Jolly

Conservatives are starting to take aim at new U.S. Senate candidate U.S. Rep. David Jolly, R-Fla. On Monday, Jolly entered the race to replace U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., in 2016.

The Conservative Review noted Jolly’s record on Monday:

1. Jolly supports redefining marriage.
2. Jolly voted to approve D.C.’s abortion mandate which would force pro-lifers to violate their religious beliefs.
3. Jolly voted to fully fund President Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesty program.
4. Jolly voted for a nearly $11 billion bailout of the Highway Trust Fund using taxpayer dollars.
5. Jolly voted to keep the Death Tax.

“While Jolly has campaigned on conservative talking points and politically expedient statements, his record tells a drastically different story,” said Daniel Horowitz of Conservative Review who is backing U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., in the primary. “ During his time in Congress he hasn’t simply voted against conservatives, he’s worked overtime to undermine them.

"Jolly has sided with the Left on nearly every big fight in Congress, from opposing religious freedom bills, to advocating the redefinition of marriage, to supporting D.C.'s abortion bill,” Horowitz added. “"There is too much at stake in the Sunshine State and across the country for a Sen. Jolly.”
