Charlie Crist Beating Rick Scott in New PPP Poll

Public Policy Polling (PPP), a firm with connections to Democrats across the nation, released a poll on Tuesday which finds former Gov. Charlie Crist leading Gov. Rick Scott. Crist takes 50 percent when matched up against Scott who garners 38 percent.

Scott is upside down in the poll with 33 percent approving of his performance in Tallahassee and 55 percent disapproving of it. Crist gets mixed marks with 43 percent viewing him as favorable and 42 percent as unfavorable. Former state Senate Democratic Leader Nan Rich is less known than either Scott or Crist with only 8 percent of those surveyed seeing her as favorable and 23 percent seeing her as unfavorable. Scott edges Rich in the poll, 37 percent to 36 percent.

The poll of 579 Florida voters was taken from Sept. 27-29 and had a margin of error of +/- 4.1 percent.
