AFSCME Council 79 Backs Gelber for AG

Sen. Dan Gelber of North Miami Beach scored yet another big endorsement for his campaign for the Democratic attorney general nomination. Facing a close contest with Sen. Dave Aronberg of Greenacres, Gelber just announced he was being backed by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Florida Council 79, which represents more than 100,000 members.

Dan Gelbers impressive and extensive legal experience is why we need him as our next attorney general, said AFSCME Council 79 President Jeanette Wynn. Dan Gelbers never-back-down attitude and record of cleaning up government and prosecuting violent gangs, scam artists and drug dealers are skills we need in our attorney general.
