AFP Launches Web Ad Against 'Handouts to Corporate Special Interests'
Americans for Prosperity’s (AFP) Florida chapter continued to stress its opposition to public funding of sports and entertainment projects, launching a new Web ad on Monday.
“Floridians don’t want their tax money to be given away to special interests,” said Chris Hudson, AFP’s director in Florida. “Lawmakers can’t seriously look their communities in the eye and tell them that hundreds of millions of their dollars were better used on handouts to corporate special interests rather than improving the state’s real infrastructure needs. That money belongs to taxpayers, and should be returned to them because they are much better investors than government ever could be.”
